šŸ Koty's top 5 tips for burning beeswax candles

Itā€™s a snowy morning here in Gananoque, as I sit in our kitchen watching the snow fall.

I have created a list of tips and tricks to ensure you have the best success with our candles!Ā You will have likely seen these before, but I am here to tell you it makes a HUGE difference in the life of a candle, not to mention fire safety.

1. Donā€™t extinguish the pillar or jar candle until there is a full wax pool on the surface.

This will take a few hours, so if you are running out the door in 20 minutes save the candle for another time

2. Keep the wick trimmed to Ā¼ inch. The best time to trim the wick is right before you light the candle each time.

Also remove any debris from the surface of the candle, including the wick trimmings

3. It's best practice to not leave a candleĀ burning for longer than 3- 4 hours

4. Be careful handling the candles, the jars get quite hot

5. Be sure to burn candles in suitable holders! There are a few for sale on our website
