I'm Koty: Beekeeper and owner of Bee Fabulous Honey.
This journey began for me in 2016, when a swarm of honey bees found me.
I was walking our dog around our house when I noticed something unusual hanging from a low-lying tree branch. When I got closer you wouldn’t believe my surprise when I discovered a swarm of honeybees, looking for a new home!
Beekeeping was something I had been interested in for years, but I never quite had the opportunity to learn more. I called the local beekeeper we had been buying honey from and he helped me catch the swarm, provide them with a new home, and learn how to care for them.
Our hives are located on a beautiful property just north of Ganaoque, Ontario. It's surrounded by 150 acres of wildflowers, flowering trees, and a beaver pond which the bees can often be found drinking water from. Over the past 3 years, I have been breeding honeybees for improved health and resistance to Varroa mites.
Varroa mites are a parasite responsible for the decline of honeybees worldwide. This isn’t an easy task and will require further work for years to come. But it's important to me to breed bees that are well suited for our local climate and resistant to pests that threaten their wellbeing.
Our honey is minimally filtered and unpasteurized. We only harvest the best quality (Grade A) honey, and this is a difference you will be able to taste.

Thank you for your continued support and Bee Fabulous.
